What is it?
Educate a Mate is a not-for-profit charitable organisation seeking to increase the global quality of education. We want to help by helping. How? We raise funds by directly supporting our local community. A major source of our fundraising is from promoting local performers and artists, who will have an open platform to showcase their talents at our ticketed events. All funds raised from ticket sales contribute to the building of schools, supplying of resources, and training of teachers wherever it's needed most. Right now we're looking out for our mates right here in WA.

How does it work?
To put it simply, it's just mates supporting mates. There's a three tiered mate-ship that occurs. Those who come to our events have the opportunity to meaningfully spend time with family and friends, whilst meeting new mates. Those who perform will be performing to their family and friends, whilst showcasing their talents to the larger community. But, most importantly, funds raised from our events will educate our mates who have grown up in communities where their education infrastructure or resourcing is lacking, increasing their available opportunities to succeed.

What's the point?
To make our vision possible, our focus is on investing in key educational infrastructure, which provides a learning environment conducive of educating children. A well-established education system is a long-term investment into the future of any community. Everyone should have the equal right and opportunity to a high standard of education. Knowledge is power, especially in a transforming global landscape with an unknown future. To be educated should not be a privilege, but a human right. At the end of the day, all that separates us is the environment we are raised in.

An education is not a luxury. It is the key to setting the foundation into a sustainable future. To make this vision possible, it is important to build infrastructure, which provides a learning environment conducive of educating children. A well-established education system is a long-term investment into the future of any society.
